FIVE SOPA LODGES IN KENYA

Amboseli
Sopa Lodge

Set in 200 acres of private land, and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park conserves over six hundred breeding species of birds as well a host of rare and wonderful wildlife.

This place also home to the Maasai people, perhaps the world’s most renowned African tribe. All forms of wildlife abound in this wilderness which continues all the way to the Amboseli National Park, a twenty minute drive away from the lodge.

Lake Naivasha
Sopa Resort

Set in 150 acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to our resident giraffe, waterbuck and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. It's also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on our expansive lawns.

The swimming pool is always a favourite spot for kids because of its open sided snack restaurant which fills them up with pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, toasted sandwiches and fries. We also provide an A La Carte Menu.

Lake Nakuru
Sopa Lodge

Located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, the lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of Africa. The lodge also overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park, one that is a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers alike.

Lake Nakuru National Park is mainly a wooded and bushy grassland with a wide ecological diversity and characteristic habitats that range from the lake waters to the escarpment and ridges.

Masai Mara
Sopa Lodge

One of Africa's most famous safari destinations. Located on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature.

All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their centre.

Samburu
Sopa Lodge

Built atop high ground allowing panoramic views of the vastness of shrub land and the hills beyond, Samburu Sopa Lodge reflects architectural heritage of the local communities whose sons and daughters make up the majority of the work force at the lodge.

Fifteen 2-bedroom cottages, are built in an arch formation on either side of the public areas to surround the waterhole - leaving a wide gap to allow the animals free movement to the water.
